Rupees 38.64 Lakhs Was Seized Under Custom Act FEMA At Chennai Airport

According to the reports coming from Chennai that a courier parcel destined to Singapore was detained at Chennai airport courier terminal. According to the recent reports coming in 40000 GBP worth Rupees 38.64 Lakhs was seized under Custom Act FEMA. 



According to the recent reports coming in currency was concealed inside 25 specially modulated steel plates. Reports are also coming that the consignor has been arrested. Further Investigation is also going on in this case.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
