Covid 19 Cases Shows Fastest Doubling As Per Ministry Of Health

Latest reports  coming in from the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare where the Ministry has shared the recent data on the cases of covid-19.

According to the recent data shared by Ministry of Health and Family Welfare India's doubling time has sharply increased to 70.4 days (it was 25.5 days in mid-August). 

As per the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare this data shows a substantial fall in the daily new cases and the consequent increase in time taken to double the total cases.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
