Delhi Mayor Meets Striking Doctors And Health Workers And Assures Release Of Their Salary

Reports have been coming in from the national capital of the country New Delhi where the Doctors and health workers at Hindu Rao Hospital  are still continuing their strike.

The strike was regarding over non-payment of salaries. Now with the latest reports that Jai Prakash, North Delhi Development Council (NDMC) Mayor has met them. 

After meeting the striking Doctors and health workers had said that, "today evening I will sanction the release of at least 1 or 2 months' salaries of each of them."

According to the Mayor now they should withdraw the strike now and treat patients.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
