Mephedrone Of Rs 20 Crore Seized In Pune

Latest teports have been coming in from Maharashtra where in a major haul police have arrested five people.

As per reports coming in the Maharashtra Police have arrested five people and have reportedly recovered about 20 kgs of Mephedrone or Meow Meow drug from their possession in Pimpri Chinchwad, Maharashtra.

As per the Police Commissioner Krishna Prakash this drug can't be stocked in such a large quantity and is used as an schedule drug to ease pain in terminally ill patients some reportedly suffering from cancer.

This drug is also used in drug addition and is not to be sold without prescription. It is chemically similar to the cathinone compounds found in the khat plant of eastern Africa

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
