CoBRA Officer Killed And Nine Jawans Seriously Injured In IED Blast In Chhattisgarh

Reports having coming in from Chhattisgarh where nine jawans of CoBRA 206 battalion were injured in an IED blast by Naxals near Tadmetla area of Sukma district. 

This has been estimated as naxal attack on the security forces and investigations are on by the security forces to clear the area for more IED blast. More details awaited.

As per latest reports Assistant Commandant Nitin Bhalerao, of CoBRA 206 battalion of CRPF, succumbs to his injuries from an IED blast by naxals near Tadmetla area of Sukma district yesterday.  He took his last breath in an army hospital today morning.

Nine other security personnel has also been injured.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
