Kozikhode Customs Department Seized Large Quantity Of Gold From Different Passengers

Reports have been coming in from Air Intelligence Unit and Customs Dept, Kozhikode International Airport where a major seizure has been done by the department from different passengers at a different time.

As per reported Air Intelligence Unit and Customs Dept, Kozhikode International Airport has seized total 2601gm gold from 5 different passengers. 

The customs department has also seized 59,000 sticks of foreign cigarettes also seized from 6 other passengers. 

In another instance, 624gm gold seized from a passenger.  This is a.major haul in a single day by any airport.  

More details are still awaited by the airport authority and customs department of kozikhode.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
