Major Decision Of Tamil Nadu Government In Covid-19 Guidelines

Major reports are coming in from Tamil Nadu where with a view a Covid 19 Cases govt have taken major decision in extending the Covid related guidelines.

As per reports coming in the Tamil Nadu govt has extended COVID-19 related restrictions till Dec 30.  These restrictions will continue in UG final year classes as they will now begin from Dec 7.

Chennai's Marina Beach will also reopen after Dec 14 and gatherings to be allowed with 50% capacity of the facility or up to 200 people.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
