Prime Minister Narendra Modi Visits Zydus Biotech Park To Review Development In Covid-19 Vaccine

As reported earlier Prime Minister Narendra Modi was on a three day tour to review the progress in the making of covid-19 vaccine.

As per reports in this regard Prime Minister Narendra Modi has visited Zydus Biotech Park in Ahmedabad, to review the development of COVID19 vaccine candidate ZyCOV-D.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Zydus Biotech Park in Ahmedabad to know more about the indigenous DNA based vaccine being developed by Zydus Cadila. 

Prime Minister Modi complimented the team behind this effort for their work. PM Modi has assured that Govt of India is actively working with them to support them in this journey.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
