Latest reports have been coming in from Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) which will be celebrating its centenary on December 22, 2020.

As per reports coming in the Aligarh Muslim University has illuminated its building for centenary celebrations.

It is reported that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be the Chief Guest at centenary celebrations on December 22, through video conferencing. 

Aligarh Muslim University is one of the oldest and most reputed universities of the country and it has completed its centenary year this year.

To mark the centenary year occassion celebrations are being conducted in the University campus.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
