Maharashtra Chief Minister Udhav Thakre Ruled Out Any Possibility Of Night Curfew Or Lockdown

Latest reports have been coming in from the economic capital of the country Mumbai where Chief Minister of Maharashtra Udhav Thakre in a statement to media has stated that many people suggested me to impose night curfew or lockdown in the state. 

The Chief Minister also reiterated that he don't think night curfew or another lockdown should be imposed.

The Chief Minister of Maharashtra Uddhav Thackeray was briefing this to media due to the increasing number of covid-19 cases in Maharashtra and the fear of second wave of covid-19 in the state.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
