Air Intelligence Seized Large Quantity Of Gold From Passenger In Kerala

Early reports are coming in from Kerala where the air intelligence unit at Calicut Airport have si is large quantity of gold which was illegally being brought in the country.

As per reports Air Intelligence Unit at Calicut Airport last night seized 1 kg gold worth Rs 50.96 lakhs that was concealed inside mixer grinder.

The Air Intelligence have also seized 299 gms of gold worth Rs 15.2 lakhs recovered from emergency lamps and 289 gms of gold worth Rs14.7 lakhs from toy cars from a passenger who landed in Kerala.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
