Bird Flu Scare On The Rise In The National Capital

Dr Sunil Singh Tomar, Animal Husbandry Dept, Delhi Govt on bird flu scare have said that we have not seen anything alarming so far. A provision of compulsory health certificate from poultry farms is in place. For cross-checking, we also conduct sampling and random inspection on the birds.

The traders in Delhi are much concerned with the bird flu scare in the capital.  Gazipur Murga Mandi on bird flu scare have said that we have formed a 5-6 members committee that surveys the market and checks the quality of poultry at different shops.  Testing is being done in various parts of Delhi for any more bird death due to Bird flu.

The Mandi Coordinators have instructed to keenly monitor and observe the situation and ensure proper sampling. 

11 Rapid Response Teams are formed by Delhi govt who are monitoring their assigned districts,said Dr Sunil Singh Tomar, Animal Husbandry Dept, while speaking to ANI Delhi Govt at Gazipur chicken and egg market in Delhi.
