Ministry Of Health And Family Welfare Has Procured 1.65 CR Doses Of Covishield And Covaxin Vaccines

Reports have been coming in from Ministry of Health and Family Welfare which has stated full and final procurement of doses of covid-19 vaccine.  The medicine have been given to all the states and union territories on the databases.

Full initial procurement amount of 1.65 cr doses of Covishield & Covaxin vaccines allocated to all States/UTs in the proportion of health care workers database. 

Ministry of Health had also stated that there is no question of discrimination against any State in the allocation of vaccine doses:  

This is the initial lot of supply of vaccine doses and would be continuously replenished in the weeks to come.

Therefore, any apprehension being expressed on account of deficient supply is totally baseless and unfounded.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
