Chamoli glacier flood: evacuated srinagar and Rishikesh Dam, cm left for chamoli



 Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat has given his response to the breaking of the glacier in Chamoli, Uttarakhand. 

CM Rawat said that there is a possibility of damage to Rishiganga project in Reni village of Chamoli due to heavy rains and sudden water. There is a possibility of flooding in the lower areas of Alaknanda due to sudden water flow in the river. People have been alerted in coastal areas and people residing along the river are being removed. To prevent the flow of water of Alaknanda, Srinagar Dam and Rishikesh Dam have been evacuated.
