DIG Ashok kumar supended, controversy with Haryana Home minister brother

Police said on Monday that Kapil Vij had gone to the Sirhind Club in Ambala Cantonment on Sunday afternoon to attend the birthday party of his friend's grandson, where the DIG was also present.


Police sources said that during this time there was a heated debate between Kapil Vij and the DIG over an issue. The matter was resolved with the intervention of some people. However, later in the evening, Vij lodged a complaint against the DIG at Ambala Cantonment Sadar police station. On Monday, the Additional Sessions Judge granted him interim bail on the application of the DIG.



Ashok Kumar's lawyer Satindra Garg said that the court has granted interim bail to the DIG till Tuesday. According to the FIR, Vij alleged that the man, whom he later came to know was a DIG, came to him and allegedly started abusing him and his family while eating food for no reason.


Vij said that while returning, the senior police officer threatened him of dire consequences and said that he is Ambala's vigilance DIG and no one can spoil him. According to police sources, after receiving the complaint, senior police officers including Ambala SP Hamid Akhtar reached Ambala Sadar police station at around 10 pm and a case was registered against the DIG under sections 323, 506 and 294 of the Indian Penal Code.


Vijay Kumar, SHO of Ambala Sadar police station, said on Monday that he had received the complaint on Sunday evening. "A case has been registered against Ashok Kumar under sections 323, 506 and 294 of the Indian Penal Code," the SHO said. Investigation is on. "The DIG was called to get a response, but he did not pick up the call. Prior to this, Kumar has been the SP of Ambala and the SP of Railways.

Now the DIG is suspended on this case and what will be the next action by the Home Minister Anil Vij it will intresting to see
