PM Modi To Visit Assam And West Bengal To Inaugurate Various Projects

Latest reports having coming in from Prime Minister Office which has informed media that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be visiting Assam and West Bengal today to inaugurate various projects.

As per reports coming in PM Modi will be visiting Assam and West Bengal today.  He will dedicate to the nation important projects of the oil and gas sector in an event organized in Dhemaji, Assam.

It's is also expected that later he will be inaugurating several railway projects in Hooghly, West Bengal.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
