Prime Minister Inaugurates Various Projects Between Assam And Meghalaya

Latest reports have been coming in from Prime Minister office where it is shared that PM Narendra Modi launches multiple development initiatives in Assam, via video conferencing.

In his message Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that in the past few years, the double engine Govt of Centre and Assam made an effort to reduce the geographical and cultural gaps of this entire region. 

Distance between Assam and  Meghalaya is around 250 kms by road. In the future, it will only be 19-20 kms. 

This bridge will also prove to be significant for international movement of traffic to other nations.

PM Narendra Modi said this for a bridge between Dhubri, Assam and Phulbari, Meghalaya.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
