Priyanka Gandhi will start election campaign in assam

 The Congress led alliance in the state is contesting against the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party. Notifying her intention, her office has said that Priyanka Gandhi Vadra will be in Assam for campaigning on March 1 and 2. On the first day, she will pray at the Kamakhya temple in Guwahati and participate in a cultural program.

She will then visit Sonari village panchayat in North Lakhimpur district to address party officials. In Lakhimpur, she will also launch a statewide protest campaign for unemployed youth, during which she will also visit Madhavdev Janmasthan and Rangajan and pay tribute to the statue of Kanaklata Barua in Gohpur.

 The Congress has focused on the status of tea plantation workers. In view of this, on the second day, Priyanka will interact with the women laborers in the tea estate. She will also pray at the Mahabhairav temple in Tezpur and later address a rally.

Sources say that Priyanka Gandhi has been confined to Uttar Pradesh till now, but is now fully engaged in a comprehensive campaign for the party. Will also travel to Kerala, Puducherry and West Bengal. Rahul Gandhi will take charge in Tamil Nadu.
