Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov Meets Foreign Secretary Harsh Vardhan Shringla In Moscow

As per reports coming in from Moscow where Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov held a meeting with Foreign Secretary Harsh Vardhan Shringla, who arrived in Moscow.

As per reports coming in both sides expressed their intention to strengthen Russian-Indian Special and Privileged Strategic Partnership, as well as tighten coordination of stances on pressing international and regional issues.

These issues included in frameworking of multilateral formats with the participation of Russia and India.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov held a meeting with Foreign Secretary Harsh Vardhan Shringla, who arrived in Moscow to take part in the consultations between the Foreign Ministries on February 17th.

On Feb 17, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Igor Morgulov and Foreign Secretary Harsh Vardhan Shringla held political consultations in Moscow. 

A wide range of issues pertained to Russian-Indian interaction was discussed, including the schedule of the upcoming political contacts. 

They also noted the similarity of approaches by Russia and India to pressing global and regional issues, as well as stressed the intention of the two countries to continue coordination of efforts at international and regional platforms, including the UN, G20, BRICS, SCO, RIC and EAEU.

The sides underlined their aspiration to increase the trade and economic turnover by expanding cooperation in traditional and high-tech spheres.
