State Maharashtra DGP Summoned By Human Rights Commission Over Alleged Torture Of BJP MLA

Latest reports have been coming in from Maharashtra where State human Right Commission have summoned state DGP over the allegations made by Bhopal BJP MP Sadhvi Pragya Singh.

As per reports coming in Maharashtra State Human Rights Commission has summoned State DGP.

The state DGP has been summoned over allegations made by Bhopal BJP MP Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur about custodial torture against her. 

The Lawyer Aditya Mishra who filed complaint at NHRC regarding it in 2018 has been asked to appear before April 6.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
