Due to increasing numbers of corona cases, Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh ordered on Friday, Statewide restrictions with closure of educational institutions till March 31.
All educational institutions except medical and nursing colleges, will remain closed till March 31, with restrictions of 50% capacity in cinema halls and not more than 100 people in a mall at any time. This action will come into force from Saturday.
CM Amarinder Singh urged to the people to keep social activity in their houses for minimum two weeks to break the transmission chain.
In the 11 worst-hit districts, a complete ban has been ordered on all social gatherings, except funerals, cremations and weddings. Industries and essential services will remain function.
