Fake News Of EVM Hacking Being Circulated On Internet

Latest reports have been coming in from election commission which has stated that a fake news about EVM hacking has been circulated on the internet.

As per reports coming in an old fake news about EVM hacking is being circulated on internet. 

The news item dated 2017 maliciously attributed that ex-CEC TS Krishnamurthy had opined that a particular party won assembly polls by hacking EVMs. 

This wrongful info was previously debunked by ex-CEC himself as per reports coming in from Election Commission.

An FIR lodged by CEO Delhi, under IPC Section 500 (punishment for defamation).

Under the Representation of the People Act 1951 Section 128 (maintenance of secrecy of voting), 134(breach of official duty in connection with elections). 

Investigation has been initiated and stern action will be taken against the culprits who have circulated the fake news.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
