Income Tax Department Raids Various Locations In Kolkata

Latest reports have been coming in from CBDT which has said that income tax department has carried out various search operations on 9th of March in various locations of Kolkata.

As per confirmed sources Income Tax Dept carried out search and seizure operation on 9th March on various persons based in Kolkata.

These persons where Income Tax Department have carried out search are being engaged in the business of electrical equipment and trading of decorative lighting. 

The cases were developed through market intelligence and field enquiries as per reported by CBDT.

The search action has resulted in unearthing of incriminating evidence both physical and electronic.

These evidences were result of where prima facie it has been observed that various bank accounts are being used by these persons for squaring off-trade account with Chinese exporters as per CBDT.

Unaccounted cash in excess of Rs 3 croreS has been found, which has been seized. 

In one more separate action conducted by the Department, Rs 76 lakhs has been seized. However further investigations are in progress as per CBDT.
