We'll have to learn to live with covid, lockdown not a solution, says Delhi Health Minister

As the number of new Covid-19 cases in the national capital continues to rise, Delhi Health Minister Satyendar Jain said on Saturday that lockdown is not a solution for dealing with the growing number of Covid-19 cases.

"We'll have to learn to live with it," the Health Minister said. He also added that, "There isn't any chance of a lockdown." There had been a lockdown before, and there was a reason for it. No one understood how the virus spread at the time. It was then stated that from the time of infection to the time of recovery, there is a 14-day period. The expert then claimed that if all operations are disabled for 21 days, the virus would cease to spread. But still, the virus spread didn't stop."

Now, according to Delhi Health Department, 1534 new corona cases, 971 recoveries and 9 deaths were reported in the last 24 hours in Delhi. With this, total number of covid-19 cases raised to 6,54,276 in which 6,051 are active cases and 6,37,238 are total recoveries.
