Maharashtra Police Neutralized 13 Naxals

Latest reports have been coming in from Maharashtra since last night where around thirteen naxals including 6 men and seven women have been neutralized.

Bodies of these Naxals have been recovered in the forest area of Etapalli, Gadchiroli in an ongoing encounter between the C-60 unit of Maharashtra Police and naxals

As per reports in this police operation in the forest area of Etapalli, Gadchiroli earlier today the police have recovered AK-47, SLR Rifle, 303 Rifle, Carbine, 12 Bore Rifle and explosives recovered.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
