Rajasthan High Court Directs State Govt To Provide Ration Kits To Needy Pakistan Refugees

Latest reports have been coming in from Rajasthan where a bench of the Rajasthan High Court has directed the state govt to provide ration kits to needy Pakistan refugees living across the state. 

According to sources the bench has listed the matter for June 3. Court unaccepted state's demand of clarification on SOPs as reported by Pakistan Refugee Counsel, Sajjan Singh to ANI.

According to sources the court has learned that SOP is itself a detailed document according to which all individuals who don't have any ID proof are eligible (for vaccination).

Pakistan Refugee Counsel, Sajjan Singh further stated that the Pakistan refugees also don't have any ID proof for (vaccine) registration.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
