With the onset of a new day it is reported that Rashtriya Lok Dal President Chaudhary Ajit Singh has passes away, confirms Jayant Chaudhary

As per reports coming in he had tested positive for COVID19 on April 20 

As per latest reports PM Modi has condoled the passing away of Rashtriya Lok Dal President Chaudhary Ajit Singh.

The Prime Minister Narendra Modi further added that he was devoted to the interests of the farmers. 

He efficiently discharged the responsibilities of several departments at the Centre," says PM 

President Ram Nath Kovind in his message on Twitter has said that  'saddened' at the demise of RLD President and former Union minister Chaudhary Ajit Singh.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
