EAM Dr S Jaishankar today Meets Deputy PM Mohammed Bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani In Doha Today

Latest reports have been coming in from the Ministry of External Affairs which has informed media that External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar today has met Deputy PM and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar, Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani in Doha today. 

As per reports coming in from sources our Union Minister Dr S Jaishankar has appreciated Qatar's solidarity during the COVID19 second wave. 

Both the leaders also discussed bilateral cooperation and exchanged views on regional issues according to External Affairs Ministry tweets.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
