India Welcomes Myanmar Intiate And Five Point Consensus

Latest reports have been coming in from the ASEAN summit in which India has welcomed ASEAN initiative on Myanmar and ‘Five-Point Consensus’. 

According to Indian Ambassador to ASEAN our diplomatic engagements will be aimed at strengthening these efforts. We call for upholding the rule of law and release of detained leaders.

India's Ambassador has shared India's stand in UN on UNGA Adoption of resolution on Myanmar.

India’s position on Myanmar's situation has been clear and consistent. We have expressed our deep concern on the developments in Myanmar. 

We strongly condemn use of violence and urge maximum restraint according to TS Tirumurti, India's Ambassador to the UN.

India will continue to engage with measures to accelerate and support the democratic transition in Myanmar.

This has been stated so that the hopes and aspirations of the people of Myanmar are fully respected and met.  This is shared by TS Tirumurti, India's Ambassador to the UN.
