Telangana Government Cancels Class 12th Exams

Latest reports have been coming in from Telangana where the local government has decided to cancel the Class 12 exam for the academic year 2020-21. 

According to the reports coming in the state government has further said that Class 12 results will be declared on basis of pre-determined objective criteria, according to the reports shared by ANI.

The Telangana Government has also issued a notice in this regard. As per the notice released, the government has asked the authorities to submit the evaluation criteria for Class 12 evaluation to the government for approval.

As reported earlier amidst the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, the CBSE class 12 exams were also cancelled in the beginning of the month.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
