42,015 Total Covid-19 Cases Reported In The Past 24 Hours

Latest reports have been coming in for Ministry of Health and Family Welfare which has stated the new covid-19 cases in the past 24 hours in the country.

According to reports coming in India has reported a total number of 42,015 new COVID19 cases in the past 24 hours.

According to reports coming in 36,977 recoveries and 3,998 deaths in the last 24 hours as per the Union Health Ministry. 

With these numbers the daily positivity rate now stands at 2.27%, less than 3% for 30 consecutive days. 

A total number of 3,12,16,337 cases have been reported till now. Now thea active cases are now 4,07,170.  The total recoveries are 3,03,90,687.  And the death toll reported so far is 4,18,480.

Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has reported a total number of 41,54,72,455 vaccination.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
