43,509 New Covid-19 Cases Reported In The Past 24 Hours In The Country

Latest reports have been coming in from Ministry of Health and Family Welfare which have shared the latest data of covid-19 New cases in the country in the past 24 hours.

According to latest reports coming in India has reported 43,509 fresh new cases of covid-19 in the past 24 hours in the country.

As per reports 38,465 recoveries are reported in the last 24 hours.  The total active caseload currently is at 4,03,840 and the recovery rate is at 97.38% according to Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.

The total samples tested up to 28th July are 46,26,29,773 including 17,28,795 samples tested yesterday.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
