Maldives Foreign Minister And President Elect Will Be Visiting India From July 22nd-July 24th

Latest reports have been coming in from Ministry of External Affairs which have stated that Maldives foreign minister and President will be visiting New Delhi from July 22nd to July 24th.

According to reports coming in Maldives Foreign Affairs Minister and President-Elect of 76th General Assembly of UN, Abdulla Shahid will visit New Delhi from July 22 to July 24th. 

As per sources he will meet PM Modi and will hold talks with the EAM on key international, multilateral, regional and bilateral issues of mutual interest.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
