Prime Minister Narendra Modi To Visit Varanasi Tomorrow To Inaugurate Various Projects

Latest reports have been coming in from Lucknow where in a historic event Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be inaugurating the International Cooperation and Convention Centre, ‘Rudraksh’, tomorrow in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh.

According to reports coming in from ANI the Prime Minister of India will visit Varanasi tomorrow. 

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of multiple development projects during his visit.

In Varanasi, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will also inaugurate the maternal and child health unit at BHU (Banaras Hindu University), regional institute of ophthalmology, Ro-Ro ferry services on river Ganga.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
