US May Encourage India To Engage Talks With Taliban

Latest reports have been coming in from United States of America where US is encouraging India to engage in talks with Taliban.

According to US State Dept Spokesperson while speaking to ANI peaceful and stable Afghanistan is in interest of all their neighbours and countries in region. 

Regional consensus and support for Afghan-led and Afghan-owned peace process is imp for enduring peace if US encouraged India to engage in talks with Taliban. 

US State Dept Spokesperson said that we continue to do all we can to galvanize and support the diplomatic process toward peace. 

Together with the international community, we urge all parties to reach a negotiated political settlement and a permanent and comprehensive ceasefire according to US State Department Spokesperson.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
