Himachal Pradesh Government To Open Schools From September 4, 2021

Latest reports have been coming in from Himachal Pradesh where Himachal Pradesh State Education Minister while speaking to ANI has said that the Himachal Pradesh government on Tuesday decided to further close the schools in the state till September 4, 2021.

According to the Minister, Himachal Pradesh government has also decided to fill up 4,000 posts of different categories of teachers.

These different categories will include 820 posts of drawing teachers and 870 posts of physical education teacher posts in the Education Department according to State Education Minister Govind Singh Thakur.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
