Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Inaugurates Makkalai Thedi Maruthuvam

According to reports coming in from ANI which has stated that Tamil Nadu CM MK Stalin today launched a doorstep healthcare scheme - ‘Makkalai Thedi Maruthuvam’ (healthcare services at doorstep) in Krishnagiri for the needy. 

According to Chief Minister MK Stalin "It aims at eliminating the need for patients to visit hospitals for treating non-communicable diseases."

The chief minister has further added that the scheme will be expanded all over the state and Rs 242 crores have been allotted for the same. 

At least 1 crore people will benefit from it. All medicines will be procured by the state govt added CM of Tamil Nadu.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
