India And America Foreign Ministers Meets To Strengthen Ties

Latest reports have been coming in from the office of United States of America where the spokesperson for Foreign ministry have said that there has been regular meetings between the deputy secretary of state United States of America and Indian Foreign Secretary Dr Harsh Vardhan.

According to reports coming in this meeting has been Deputy Secretary of State Wendy R Sherman has met Indian Foreign Secretary Harsh V Shringla and had discussed continued coordination on Afghanistan.

Both the leaders have discussed the present ongoing situation in Afghanistan and strengthening Indo-Pacific cooperation through the Quad, preparations for upcoming dialogues between India and United States of America as said by the Office of Spokesperson.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
