Indian External Affairs Minister Meets UK Foreign Secretary And Iraq Finance Minister

Latest reports have been coming in Ministry of External Affairs Ministry which has stated that External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar has met new UK Foreign Secretary Liz Truss and discussed progress of Roadmap 2030.

According to reports coming in the External Affairs Minister in his tweet has stated that he appreciates her contribution on trade side. 

The EAM has exchanged views on developments in Afghanistan and Indo-Pacific. Urged early resolution of quarantine issue in mutual interest.
External Affairs Minister also met Finance Minister Fuad Hussein of Iraq has said that he had discussed our historical ties, economic, energy and development cooperation linkages. 

The Finance Minister has also exchanged views on regional and global issues.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
