Punjab CM Assures Government Jobs To Relatives Of Farmers Who Lost Lives In Farm Bill Protest

Latest reports have been coming in from Punjab where Punjab CM Charanjit Singh Channi chaired emergency meeting with Council of Ministers in view of the 'Bharat Bandh' protest against three farm laws. 

According to the reports coming in from the meeting the Council of Ministers passed a resolution expressing solidarity with the farmers and their demands.

This news has been issued by the Chief Minister office of Punjab to the media.

In this meeting Punjab CM has asked all Ministers to personally visit the houses of the deceased farmers who have lost lives during ongoing protest against three farm laws.

According to reports coming in the Chief Minister of Punjab has assured to deliver the appointment letters for govt jobs to their family members according to CMO.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
