Ruling YSR Congress Party In Andhra Pradesh Won Elections Held For Zilla Parishad & Mandal Parishad

Latest reports having coming in from Andhra Pradesh where the ruling YSR Congress Party in the State secured a victory in elections held to Zilla Parishad & Mandal Parishad (block parishads).

According to reports coming in the ruling YSR Congress party in the in Andhra Pradesh has secured this victory after the counting of the votes was held on Sunday.

As per sources YSR Congress had secured 502 ZPTCs out of 515 seats. In MPTCs, the count was 5998 seats out of the 7219.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
