Union Sports Minister Anurag Thakur Lays Foundation Stone Of Zonal Physical Education Office

Latest reports having coming in from Jammu and Kashmir where Union Sports Minister Anurag Thakur laid the foundation stone of the zonal physical education office (ZPEO) and zonal playfield at Kichpora Kangan on Sunday.

As per reports coming in from Jammu and Kashmir youth need facilities and central govt will ensure all facilities making sure that talent flourishes in the region. 

Central govt has earmarked Rs 200 crore under the PM Development Plan for development of playfields and indoor stadiums according to Union Sports Minister Anurag Thakur.

The leader further added Rs 33 crores more was approved for preparing synthetic turfs, hockey, and football grounds in Jammu and Kashmir.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
