Voting In West Bengal By Polls Today

Latest reports have been coming in from West Bengal where voting has begun for the bypolls.

According to reports Priyanka Tibrewal, BJP candidate for Bhabanipur by-poll has said that we are hoping for fair elections. Security deployment is very important. I will visit polling booths in the area today. The state government is in fear right now.

As per reports security deployment at a polling booth of ward number 71 in Bhabanipur.

However, besides Bhabanipur, bypolls will also be held in Shamsherganj and Jangipur in the Murshidabad district. 

As per reports Priyanka Tibrewal, BJP candidate for Bhabanipur by-poll is at polling booth of ward number 72 has said that Madan Mitra (TMC MLA) has purposely shut the voting machine here as he wants to capture the booth.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
