Heavy Rains Lashes Uttarakhand, PM Took Nite Of Present Situation

Latest reports have been coming in from Uttarakhand where heavy rains have been ongoing in the state over the past 24 hours.

According to reports to review this position Prime Minister Narendra Modi also spoke to Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami and Minister from Uttarakhand Ajay Bhatt.

As per reports Prime Minister Narendra Modi took stock of the situation arising due to heavy rains in the state. 

Another upcoming news from Uttarakhand states that an under construction bridge, over a raging Chalthi River in Champawat has been washed away due to rise in the water level caused by incessant rainfall in parts of Uttarakhand.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
