India Reports Lowest Covid-19 Cases Since March 2021

Latest reports have been coming in from the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare which has shared the latest data of covid-19 cases in the country.

According to reports coming in India has reported a total number of 14,623 new COVID19 cases in the country.

According to the sources 19,446 people have recovered and 197 deaths have also been reported in the last 24 hrs as per Union Health Ministry.

Now the total cases reported so far is 3,41,08,996.  And active cases are 1,78,098.  The total recoveries reported are 3,34,78,247.  The death toll now stands at 4,52,651.

The total number of vaccination done so far is 99,12,82,283 and 41,36,142 people have been vaccinated in last 24 hrs.

Recovery Rate currently at 98.15% - highest since March 2020. Active cases account for 0.52% of total cases.  These cases are the lowest since March 2020. Active caseload stands at 1,78,098 which is lowest in 229 days according to Union Health Ministry.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
