Covid-19 Cases Rapidly Increasing In India

Latest reports have been coming in from Karnataka where the number of cases have been rapidly increasing of covid-19 in the state.

According to reports European countries are witnessing rapid increase in the number of cases of covid-19 with the new variant came into existence and the flights of various countries from one to another has been cancelled and stopped for further notice.

India has also been experiencing fear of the third wave of covid-19 in the country as the cases of covid-19 rapidly increasing day by day.

According to sources number of COVID-19 cases in Dharwad's SDM College of Medical Sciences reached 281 with 99 people testing positive yesterday. 

Out of the 281 cases, only 6 patients are symptomatic according to District Collector Nitish Patil.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
