Delhi Commission For Women Files FIR Against A Person For Giving Rape Threat To Virat Daughter

Latest reports have been coming in from Delhi Commission for women which has filed an FIR against a person who has given rape threat to the daughter of Virat Kohli on social media platform.

According to reports DCW takes suo-motu cognisance on reports of online rape threats to Virat Kohli's 9-month-old daughter following INDvsPAK match. 

DCW asks Deputy Commissioner of Police to provide them with a copy of FIR, details of accused identified and arrested, detailed action taken report by Nov 8.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
