Latest reports have been coming in from Uttrakhand where action is to be taken against the health employees who have gone on strike that had begin on Tuesday.

According to reports coming in from Uttrakhand where Uttarakhand Chief Secretary SS Sandhu has issued a directive to all secretaries, department heads and DMs.

In this directive he had asked them to make deductions from the salaries of Government employees who go on strike.

According to the reports coming in from Dehradun an FIR has been filed against unknown persons in connection with the indefinite strike of Uttarakhand Secretariat Association that began on Tuesday.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
