Notices Sent To Online Agencies By Ministry Of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution

Latest reports have been coming in from Ministry of consumer Affairs Food and public distribution which has shared 15 notices with respect to the violation of selling an standard pressure cookers.

According to reports coming in from Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution under the Central Consumer Protection Authority has taken suo-moto action against e-commerce entities and sellers who were found to be selling pressure cookers in violation to compulsory standards online.

According to sources these pressure cookers sold online in violation to the compulsory standards. 15 Notices have already been issued with respect to such violations. 

BIS has also issued 3 notices for violation of Quality Control Orders (QCO) of domestic pressure cookers and 2 notices for violation of QCO for helmets.

These notices were sent by the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution.
