Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma And Meghalaya CM To Meet Home Minister Amit Shah On Border Issue

Latest reports have been coming in from the cabinet meeting which is being held in Meghalaya where Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma has shared that his cabinet has approved all three recommendations of regional committee to resolve Meghalaya and Assam border issue.

According to reports coming in Meghalaya Chief Minister has stated that the Cabinet approved recommendations of all 3 Regional Committees to resolve the Meghalaya-Assam border issue. 

Recommendations of both states will be submitted to Home Ministry. Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma and Meghalaya Chief Minister are likely to meet Home Minister Amit Shah for further action.

This has been shared by the  Meghalaya CM Conrad Sangma.

The Chief Minister has further stated that the Cabinet has decided to relax the upper age limit for candidates applying for Govt services by 5 years. 

This will however not be applicable for certain Departments like Police which require physical fitness as a criteria according to Meghalaya CM Conrad Sangma.

Through this decision, the age relaxation has been increased from 27 to 32 years and for Scheduled Tribes (STs).

This has been done as another five years will be added thereby relaxing the upper age limit to 37 years according to Meghalaya CM Conrad Sangma.
